This upsets me

arrow-1

Watching Arrow for the first time, and I see the eponymous Oliver Queen in his fancy new office for the first time. Wearing this. And I wonder, WHO THE HELL IS DRESSING THIS GUY????????

Middle button, or top and middle button. Or all buttons if you’re Asian and don’t understand the rules.

BUT NEVER ONLY THE TOP BUTTON OF A THREE-BUTTON JACKET.

EVER.

You should be ashamed of yourself, Oliver Queen. Five years on an uncharted island do not excuse you.

Awake: The Series

Did you watch Awake? The premise was that detective Michael Britten is driving his family when they get into an automobile accident. When he wakes up he finds out his wife is dead. And then he wakes up and finds out his son is dead. And every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up in the other reality.

There are many parallels between the two worlds. One family member is dead. He is seeing a therapist. And also, whatever he learns in one reality can be used as a clue in the other reality.

Awake premiered on March 1st, 2012 on NBC. It lasted only one season, much to the dismay of . . . oh, about two million Americans. It ranked within the top 3 in its time slot. I didn’t get to join in until Episode #7, and that was just because Fat Neil from Community was in it. So, anyway, I watched the show, was immediately hooked, and had to go back in time seven episodes to play catch up.

By the time I got to the show, it had slipped enough that even I knew the show wouldn’t last. I assumed that it wasn’t a great show, but that I just happened to like it. Turns out it was a good show. Well, leave it to NBC to be dumb about their best shows.
